Storing your will Being able to safely store and easily locate your will could mean the difference to making a legally valid will that can be accessed and used right away, or dying “intestate” meaning that there was no will or that no will could be found. When your will has been written, you need to keep it in a place that is safe and where your executors will be able to find it when the time comes. If your will is damaged or if your executors can’t find it after your death, then your wishes might not be followed and the people that you want to inherit your possessions and money might not do so.
